My view on 💬 code comments has evolved. These days, I'm strict about leaving them.

1. If a comment explains what the code does, I remove it—it's obvious. 2. If it explains why, I try to restructure or simplify the code so it’s clear without needing a comment. 3. When I do leave a comment, it’s only to explain why, never what. The above helps avoid sloppy, unhelpful comments.
