One peculiarity of American Health Care is that every large hospital in the country is named after the rich person that donated to build or refurb it Yet, heath care is insanely expensive — especially inside hospitals. So why would it require donors? One may conclude something has gone horribly wrong

As an outsider looking in, the American Health (sick) Care system is one big peculiarity in terms of how well it tries to optimise the health of its people.

The funds given to hospitals is, in this defined scenario, primarily meant for the expansion/maintenance of the hospital's capacity. Its association with healthcare costs is marginal unless the donor dictates it to be used for subsidizing costs. As for the absurd costs of healthcare, its from everyone involved. (1/2)
