Ibn Battuta (1304-1377), a traveler from Tangier, Morocco🇲🇦, on an epic 30-year journey, he visited 44 countries, including: Quanzhou, China🇨🇳 (1346), and recorded an important part of Chinese history that had been lost due to conflict and upheaval (1346 was a difficult year in China). Because his writings became an invaluable record of a time that might otherwise have been lost to history, Quanzhou Maritime Museum erected a statue of in honor of Ibn Battuta, a tribute to the man who bridged continents with his curiosity 👇 https://maps.app.goo.gl/gfd6EGQgZssUjASh8?g_st=ac A Moroccan vlogger visited Quanzhou to see the statue of Ibn Battuta, and I just enjoyed his emotional reaction, he reflected on how one of his ancestors had not only reached this distant land but also unknowingly became a historian for a nation he was merely passing through. What an incredible legacy! Imagine your writing or video becoming an important thing for a nation! Sometimes it happens in solved crime videos :)
