The loneliest house in the world In the 1950s, on the island of Elliday, located in Iceland, the Hunters' Association built a building that became a recreation area and sauna for members of the puffin hunting society. Currently, the island is uninhabited, although five families once lived here. Little is known about the owner of the island. Some believe that it belongs to an eccentric billionaire who planned to use the island as a refuge from global catastrophe. Others suggest that Bjork may be the owner.
