A truly humbling thing for an architect to do is to be their own client for a project. We spend so much of our time with capricious clients who throw out months of work when the algo feeds them a new Pinterest image. It can be hard to understand the thought process that leads clients to shoot themselves in the foot, but just design your own home and watch the scope creep.
