In The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle:
“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.”
I checked my phone 47 times today. Scrolled. Compared. Worried. And then I read this. And paused. Right then. In the middle of my kitchen. I looked at my hands. The steam rising from my mug. The sound of rain on the roof. I realized: I’d missed today. Again. All I ever have is now. Not yesterday’s regrets. Not tomorrow’s anxieties. Just this breath. This cup. This second. So I drank my tea slowly. Felt the warmth. Smelled the chamomile. Lived it. One moment at a time. That’s the only practice that matters.
