1/10 @celestia isn’t trying to become another smart contract chain. It’s focused on making the data layer radically simpler, letting others build on top. https://t.co/uHn3SX2RiN 2/10 #Celestia separates consensus from execution. It doesn't run smart contracts. Instead, rollups post their data ("blobs") to Celestia, and the network ensures they're available and ordered. Execution happens elsewhere. Celestia just handles the data. https://t.co/428eM9fXZ7

3/10 That makes it radically simpler and cheaper. By moving #DA to a dedicated base layer, Celestia reduces publishing costs by ~95%. This makes fully onchain games, rich media apps, and state-heavy simulations actually viable. 4/10 Already live and in use. While competitors like @eigen_da and @AvailProject are still pre-mainnet, Celestia powers real deployments today: • @arbitrum • @ORBIT • @Optimism • @dymension • @RollkitDev • @LightLinkChain

5/10 It works via #DAS (data availability sampling). Nodes sample small chunks of each block. If enough samples are valid, the block is provably available, without downloading the whole thing. Combine that with Namespaced Merkle Trees, and rollups only see their own data. 6/10 More than a dozen modular apps already rely on Celestia. @hibachi_xyz - privacy-first perps @kamigotchiworld - onchain game @townsxyz: decentralized social @plumenetwork - RWA rollup @WINRProtocol - DeFi casino

The pattern? Fast-moving apps with unique data needs. 7/10 Celestia isn't trying to replace Ethereum or Solana. It's a neutral DA layer. A base infrastructure others build on. In a modular world, Celestia can be the DA layer that powers hundreds of rollups across chains. 8/10 The latest upgrade, Lotus, is now live on Arabica testnet. It brings native support for Hyperlane, enabling cross-chain TIA transfers, and reduces inflation by 33%. Mocha and Mainnet rollouts are expected in Q3.

https://t.co/AiV5OCoYrl 9/10 Dev funding isn't a problem. In 2024, Celestia raised $100M+ from Bain, Galaxy, and others. The Foundation has funded projects like Dymension, Caldera, Astria, and Movement Labs - building the modular stack from the ground up. https://t.co/WNDIeh18u0 10/10 Celestia is already here. Already used. Already scaling rollups. It's not a vision of what could be. It's infrastructure that works. And in a modular future, working infra wins.
