Base App (formerly Coinbase Wallet) is now a wallet + trading super app focused on secure self-custody, low-cost trading on Base, and onchain activity.

š Sign Up
1. Open the app:
https://base.app/invite/drakweb/MM2DT9LL
2. Select Create Account or Sign up with Email
3. Enter your email and verify using the 6-digit OTP code
4. Choose your Basename (yourname.base)
5. Add a profile picture and display name
6. Your Smart Wallet will be created automatically using Passkey technology
ā± Registration takes less than 2 minutes and currently requires no KYC.
Note: If you previously used Coinbase Wallet, updating to Base App usually restores your assets automatically.
š Import Existing Wallet
Base App supports importing wallets such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and legacy Coinbase Wallet.
Steps:
ā¢ Tap your profile picture
ā¢ Disable Base Mode
ā¢ The app reloads in Legacy Mode
ā¢ Open Add & Manage Wallets
ā¢ Select Import Wallet
ā¢ Enter your Recovery Phrase or Passkey
After importing, your tokens, NFTs, and wallet history should appear automatically.
ā ļø Never share your recovery phrase with anyone.
ā ļø Users in sanctioned regions should carefully consider privacy and IP-related risks before importing existing wallets.
