wasn’t going to put this out there but it doesn’t matter the ok banger thing is like really cringe and not bc the phrase itself is cringe but bc it came as like a top down corpo mandate and suddenly started appearing everywhere. when you realize that there are financial incentives tied too it it becomes even more cringe. i really don’t get why farcaster/base culture is like this i also still don’t get the obsession with tipping culture here like i can’t be the only one who things it’s super unnatural and weird to have monetary value directly tied to my likes/comments etc. like im always second guessing myself about whether or not i should interact bc of this. if i want to tip somebody for something cool they did i already can with the built in wallet! anyways this is far from the biggest problem farcaster has, but im not a big fan

lol im trying out the noice thing but it just feels like it takes away from authentic social interaction still so what’s the point

I see it the other way and never got behind the degen thing (silly in know) because It didnt feel aligned to me. We're you into the DEGEN era? What were you saying then? This is invisible, meaningful (if you want it to be), and is having a great network effect. Anything the pushed us forward and upward. Acc

yea i was around for degen and i enjoyed taking part in it and definitely played the game. idk if i ever believed it was a good thing but there was money to be made there were parts about it that were better, like i could still interact with ppl without tipping if I didn’t feel like it so in that way it didn’t impact my interactions, but agreed since it was so much more open it was clearly impacting what ppl would talk about/interact with the problem i see with this tho is that the impact to interactions is still there it’s just obfuscated bc ppl will just not interact with something they otherwise would’ve bc of the financial impact and also interact in ways they wouldn’t normally (ok banger) for the same reason my question is still, if i want to make an impact or show financial support to grow the network I can already do that through the wallet. this just creates weird incentives
