nah, it's confusing. what are you trying to do? lots of people start with the manifest but the workflow I suggest is:

1. build your basic app and get it to work in the Warpcast "Preview Tool." don't worry about embed or manifest yet.
2. add embed meta tags and get it to work in the "Embed Tool." don't worry about the manifest yet.
3. add the manifest and get it to work in the "Manifest Tool." Break this into:
  3a. add a minimal manifest (signature and required fields)
  3b. add the optional stuff, like a webhook for notifications.

I see a lot of people start at 3 and go backwards, which ends up really confusing.
