I’d like to reduce my kid’s screen time (tablet, TV) without curtailing access to audiobooks. Based on your experience, are there screen-less devices (except perhaps for just an interface screen) that can competently play Amazon audiobooks?

We have a Yoto which is pretty great but you have to use their cards which are expensive. They have "make your own" cards you can upload mp3s to. One other option I researched is Jooki, which has a Spotify integration. Surprised Amazon hasn't come out with a device in this category actually

Thank you! So it looks like the Amazon Echo can read Amazon audiobooks natively (unsurprisingly), plus any eBook in the standard Alexa voice. That seems like the safest option given that I already have a library of Amazon audiobooks for kids. However the Echo is completely out of stock, it seems.
