Sitting on a lake with one person on my left and another on my right, each recording a live or recording a TikTok. It’s more annoying than a loud person on the phone sitting next to me in a restaurant.

Like, I get making content, but not in my way! lol. It’s kinda like noise pollution laws but now it’s people who talk at their phones

I am a photographer who has ceased making street photos because it all feels smarmy now

Well f the smarmy feeling then and get yourself out there

I can’t. I used to be so good at being incognito hiding behind the camera shooting shots. I almost always let people know because I captured great stuff. But now it’s all so obvious and intrusive. I feel like I’m violating/exploiting people. It’s a douchey look now 

If Diane Arbus couldn’t do it in present days, I certainly can’t

That’s the conundrum. Faces and eyes especially are the most important part of my work

Would you feel better about it if you were editing our everyone's faces? (Or if a camera did it for you)
