Ladybower Reservoir is a Y-shaped reservoir in Derbyshire, England, in the Upper Derwent Valley. It is formed by a dam and the rivers Ashop and Derwent. Construction began in 1935, but due to World War II it was not completed until 1943, and filling with water took another two years. amazing, right?
