Been reflecting on this, while stocks and gold delivered strong 1Y gains, Bitcoin finished the year in the red (-6% to -7%), and IBIT & MSTR also closed negative.
What makes it harder to ignore is the backdrop:
- Billions flowed into BTC via corporates like Strategy.
- Pro crypto politics and legislative tailwinds.
- Rate cuts and a QE narrative.
- Risk assets and metals hitting new highs.
And despite all that, BTC couldn’t close the year even +1%. If you’re relying on the “ ATH halving always repeats” script, be cautious with your money. Markets don’t owe us the same outcome every cycle.
