Spoke with the Construction Industries Division of New Mexico. They are saying that a container home has to be fully designed by a structural engineer. So, another large amount of money to throw at it. I can't just "build" what I want. So, here we go again. I'm not paying to have another design engineered, so I seem to be pivoting back to the sandbag dome. Still waiting on that bit of engineering to be done tho. Hurry up and wait is the current motto. There's no guarantee that the county will approve the placement of an earthbag home either.

I feel like there should be a simple cookie cutter structural plan for a container home somewhere on the web for free

NM requires fancy stamp 😅 my plans I bought have structural details but aren't enough for CID to approve
