It's bait but no I don't think I agree If you can spend 10% of your costs to get the same service you probably should Especially as an indie hacker because literally the more profit you have the more money goes to your bank account Famously indie startups making $1M/y make the same profit as VC startups at $20M/y revenue Profit margins are very important for indies

It also depends on the time it takes to implement it. Some indie hackers over-optimize for margins when they barely have PMF
