As a physics student📚, not having basic knowledge of Further Mathematics is a serious disadvantage Let me show you why — with a simple real-life physics + calculus example 📚 👇👇 Question: The velocity of a space shuttle is given by: V(t) = 25 + 3t^2 Find the instantaneous acceleration at t = 9 s SOLUTION To solve this, you need to know that: Instantaneous acceleration = derivative of velocity (dV/dt) This is where differentiation — a key part of Further Math — comes in 🔁 LET’S DIFFERENTIATE: V(t)= 25 + 3t^2 dV/dt= 0 + 6t = 6t dv/dt= 6t Now substitute : a=dv/dt=6t a(9) = 6X9 = 54m/s^2 Don’t run from Further Math — master it. 🧍🏾♂️ Real-life analogy? It’s like: You start jogging slowly… Then your body says, “LET’S RUN LIKE THE POLICE ARE BEHIND US” 🚓💨 And instead of increasing pace steadily… You go from jog → sprint → teleport 💥 That’s what 54 m/s² feels like — your back is kissing the seat and your ancestors are whispering, “Hold on tight!” Science is Fun
