Idea-guy time. Who's building this? Obvious statement: starting on a new social network is real hard. Root cause: Social graph bootstrapping. Unless I want to use one for a very different social circle, I need to find the people I followed on the old one first, and try to reconnect to all of them on the new one. Even hard and sometimes dangerous to do by hand. Like x -> Farcaster, I actually want to start following pretty much the same people. but: • I dont know if the people behind the same handle are the same people • I don't know if they use the same handle • I don t know if they are already there, but I want to connect to them when they join.

Idea guy thinks: could we use zkTLS / TLSNotary for this? Something like this 1. I give access to the list of people I follow, and give my new username on target social network 2. since everyone has done the same it can go and follow for me all the people I used to follow. Even if their name has changed, since they will have proven that they own the handle on the former social network 3. as people join, I can autofollow if I used to follow them in original place too. and can be used to follow on the old network if I meet them for the first time on the new one. So both follow lists can be kept in sync, purely opt-in without anyone needing to maintain a list of account matches & follows. Would be nice, no? Please also tell me all the ways this wouldnt work.
