I don't get excited by people building "the (next chain's version of) current thing".
Blue ocean always amazing to see, but close to non useable for the "normies" (initially, then slowly grinds up to amazing if good eventually) .

I think people won't "get into crypto" for the same reason no one "gets into sql".

hype cycle and all we are in a slow grind phase. 
But Christensen showed changing things takes time.

Don't hate it tbh. But not as much fun/excitement as 2021 tbf.

I have no doubt that blue ocean wins over copycats. But will not be blazing fast. An overnight success takes 10y. 
(unless extreeeeme luck is involved).

Not a bull or a bear. A build. Prolly much healthier.

Crypto is in a stalemate right now.   

Everyone wants to bring new people onchain but 99% of volume is still driven by the same cohort of ~25,000 crypto-native users. 

I'm not seeing real interest or demand from people to "get into crypto" and the most successful apps (like

the two current paths available to vc-backed crypto founders are both suicide missions

option 1: go where there is empirical evidence of pmf—trading—and build a variant of whats working eg. launchpad, prediction market, dex, routing, etc. investors, friends, and users will yawn
