little rant but i hate the fucking low quality problems you have living in a third world country. have finals starting monday, currently 10:50pm and my friends and I are house hopping looking for electricity because it was cloudy all day and our solar set ups didn’t get enough juice to last us the night.

Diesal generators are always good to have incase. expensive but well worth it.

simple explanation is that our leaders are thieves. long explanation is that for the longest time we did not have the ability to distill our own crude oil and had to sell it to the U.S. and THEN buy back the components. it used to be subsidized for the citizens but the subsidy was removed years ago. so yeah it’s not cheap at all:(

fair enough I know absolutely nothing about living/working/studying in Nigeria. But I would like to know more. 

Why isnt Fuel cheap as chips over there? Isn't Nigeria an oil producing nation?

😭😭sweetheart i am a broke (poor, in fact) college student, i cannot afford diesel, not to talk of a diesel generator. even if i did, id have to consider noise pollution bc i live near the hospital and in an area densely populated by doctors/med students
