* Note "But if names don't matter, then why rename Warpcast to Farcaster? Ah ha -- trapped you in a contradiction!" Different issue. 1. Farcaster has 10-100x the brand recognition vs. Warpcast. So changing the name is not about "the better name" -- arguably both names are nerdy and a bit weird to begin with -- and simplifying to a single name that more people have heard of. 2. Reducing from 2 to 1 name solves the confusing question for consumers -- "What's the difference between Farcaster and Warpcast?" -- and is easy enough for developers to figure out when reading the docs, similar to Uniswap. A way to think about this is ChatGPT 4o vs. ChatGPT o3 vs. ChatGPT o4-mini-high. ChatGPT the name is fine at this point -- it's fast approaching a household name for AI in the same way Google was for search. But the model subnames are really confusing. I suspect they just simplify to ChatGPT and auto-detect which model to use in the background for normal users.

Imo one of the big opportunities in crypto right now is to figuring the new meta for project tokens. Current model of Seed → A → B → high fdv low float erc20 airdrop is broken and down only for 99% of projects. The naive solution of "just launch a liquid erc20 from the start" is likely incorrect. Having a low liquidity, tradable token creates the incentive for teams to turn their token price into the product. Imo correct approach balances: * Early onchain existence (have a token at seed) to integrate with onchain infra * Progressively more liquid in a controlled fashion (akin to secondaries) as project matures * Whole process is about as easy to manage as Carta I know this is a boomer take, but i just don't see 100x more companies wanting to go onchain if they have to enter the casino on day 1.

1️⃣ The Lockup Vault – A Bad Deal for DEGEN? The vault was designed to require users to hold DEGEN in order to receive daily tipping allowances. The idea was that this would reduce sell pressure and incentivize long-term commitment. But the numbers tell a different story: • Right now, a 1.9M DEGEN deposit gives you a 10K DEGEN daily tip allowance • If fully farmed over a year, this results in an APR of 184% 😳 • That’s a massive ROI for a short lockup, creating huge inflation in the ecosystem This raises a key question: Are we getting enough back for giving out these rewards? Right now, it looks like the system is disproportionately benefiting farmers rather than long-term ecosystem participants.
