Most healthcare systems have their flaws, but I still prefer the Indian healthcare system. You don’t have to wait weeks for an appointment, and the costs are clear and upfront—no hidden fees or surprise bills months later. When I gave birth in the U.S., I was still dealing with the hospital bill 9–10 months after my baby was born. They initially charged me $80,000 for a four-day hospital stay. And this was with a “good” insurance plan and high premiums. After countless hours on the phone with the hospital billing department and my insurance provider, they finally admitted it was fully covered 😤 That time and energy should have gone toward bonding with my newborn—not dealing with the bills. Sometimes, the U.S. healthcare system honestly feels like a scam.

This rant was triggered because I recently called a doctor’s office, got a next-day appointment, and had an MRI done—all within two days. And the best part? I know there won’t be any surprise bills. That’s peace of mind.
