Help needed from all runners / crazy walkers here! After completing my 100km hike Iโve ended up with a black toenail. ๐ I held onto a tiny hope it might surviveโฆ but Iโm finally accepting that itโs probably going to fall off. Any tips or recommendations on how to keep running with a (possibly falling) black toenail?

Main thing is to protect it, Make sure your shoes have plenty of toe room (maybe even a half-size up!), and use padding like moleskin. Don't force the nail off, let it detach naturally, just keep it clean. And most importantly, listen to your body; if it hurts too much, scale back or cross-train. Watch for infection (redness, pus) and see a doctor if it's really painful or looks bad. You'll be back to pain-free running soon!
