We're working on improving onboarding 1. Investigating how to make sign ups cheaper at the protocol level. Free is not possible because of spam. But we think there's a path to getting sign ups <$1. 2. Simplifying the Warpcast sign up process—fewer steps and the possibility for free sign ups if you verify your account (Warpcast still pays at the protocol level). 3. Improving the initial feed — a combination of better UX for finding people to follow and incorporating interests selected during sign up. 4. Once we've tackled all of the above, we will revisit invite UX which is suboptimal right now.

I’ve onboarded several dozen users from my X/Telegram friends. Willing to pay for invites, so $1 is worth purple pilling new users for me. Maybe a frame or mini game type thing that will award free invites that you have to use within a 24hr period to buy the invite would be a cool way to encourage more farcasters to recruit more users? If I was awarded or given more invites I would for sure use them to bring more people over to Warpcast etc Free signups for verifying is also a very smart way to onboard but needs to be obvious to the longtsil new user that they get their money back if they verify. Remember many of them come from the Web2 social world where they haven’t earned from this social media efforts so they don’t know earning for being active on warpcast is a reality… I spent 17 yrs on twitter/x and never earned a dime. Now that I’m here and understand the potential to earn on WC… I’m never going back to Web2 socials. This needs to be understood by the masses.
