a common blind spot i see in references to the Em Dash conspiracy:

people assume that AI-generated posts are the result of bots and, therefore, "proof of human" can help fix it.

this is naive, imo.

there are plenty of real humans using ChatGPT to farm attention.

I read that some of the most $$$ effective spam on X was real people in cyber cafes in SE Asia. Farming the rewards in groups that would all reply and repost each others content in a massive circlejerk

That was gaming the algo over there even if they never escaped their own circles

Incentives matter!!!
