Wings, heads, pieces of abdomen—these rare carcass-camouflaged creatures are a sight to see. Bone collector caterpillars scavenge for their food, then decorate their silken cases with the leftovers, seemingly to help conceal themselves among predators. 🔗

Maybe absorbing nutrients. I doubt it is a disguise tactic. Some times we read too much into nothing?
