Decentralization sounds like a “crypto thing” but it’s actually a massive megatrend that will affect every layer of society By solving the Byzantine General’s problem, bitcoin gifted us a roadmap for collaborating with strangers (and even enemies) Mining + incentives = a playbook for replacing centralized orgs with open networks It’s a shift from punishment to rewards A treasure map for turning companies into protocols Eventually, most of the world will work for those protocols, not people

Yes! Two things I spend my days obsessing over are power and asset financing (boring AF, I know). Both of these are overdue for digital protocols. The experts are still well paid inside institutions, but power and asset finance (data centers, utilities, ag, transportation, manufacturing, etc) are in growth mode and fragmenting faster than ever. The protocol route is better, faster, cheaper, and makes more people rich along the way. The centralized institutions don’t really stand a chance. When, I don’t know. But it’s inevitable.
