1. I want to tell you a bit about the sequence of events happening in Iran. The biggest issue since the beginning of the war has been the shutdown of open internet access. Except for a small number of people who support the Iranian government—who, during the war, used SIM cards known as “white SIM cards” that allowed unrestricted internet access under any conditions—about 98% of the population has had no access to a free and open internet. However, it is still possible to connect using powerful VPNs, but at extremely high costs. When I say expensive, I mean that for each gigabyte of VPN access, a typical person in Iran has to pay nearly one-twentieth of their monthly income.
