The Move programming language was developed originally for safety, security, and simplicity in mind in comparison to other smart contract languages.

Most of the time, I've been told it's just that they don't know Move!  Many people I've talked to have told me they'd prefer Move over others.  One Rust developer told me what took them months, took weeks to do on Move on Aptos.
