Two opinions I’m starting to form: 1. In the future most data (80%) will be stored in one or more decentralized protocols 2. Those protocols will not use the EVM in any way Bullish crypto, bearish ETH

It will be IPFS. CIDs provide all the verification blockchains need while providing the most amount of flexibility related to persistence, decentralization, speed, etc.

I don’t think it’ll be one protocol, but I do think IPFS is a great example of what many of them might look like!

Whatever protocols that will be used, I think the common denominator will be content-addressable, cryptographic hashes (CIDs) of data/files. It's the best way to pull verifiable data in distributed crypto systems that allows you to trust the data itself instead of the server/device the data is coming from.
