Misinformation, disinformation, lies, the loss of critical thinking skills, and a wanton desire for conspiracies very well may be the greatest threat humanity faces. In their shadow, anything is possible and justifiable. We need something better.
Enter Polygraph. A few months ago, we started work on a system that attempts to fact-check anything using AI, human fact-checkers, and other verifiable sources. Polygraph can fact-check anything using AI text, link, and even videos from YouTube and TikTok.
It’s far from perfect and the mission really is impossible, but it’s a start. I consider it a tool to help you gather data, usable in making more informed decisions. We’re still testing it, but here’s a preview.
A video from Nick Shirley is making the rounds as “investigative journalism”. It’s not, but it does make a lot of claims. The hard part is that so many things can be stated in a way that makes them deceiving and unverifiable - making it hard to know what’s true. We’re still working on that.
You can see what Polygraphs.xyz found in the link below. A few more examples in the comments.
I welcome your feedback and ideas. We have so much work left to do before it’s too late - if not already.
