Parenting Hack: you would be amazed at how much of the time I spend asking my kids questions I know they know the answers to Where does this come from? What happens when… What’s that person’s name? Do you know where your coat is? How would you feel if that happened to you? Why do you think they did that? I love to challenge them with shit I get to explain too(inventing demand for nerdery, yes I would even to my kids) But for the most part I’m just inviting them to tell me what they know and think about stuff, about stuff I want them to remember and think about Some questions are dumb AF like this bit I’ve got where I misinterpret everything the kids say over and over and over and rover again. It is literally the stupidest thing I can imagine and I do it every day here is a crazy high value question: If you could choose between…..that dumb thing you just did and … something better, and I’m not saying you can, but if you could, which would you pick?
