as a builder: base is 50x better than Solana. cost me $150 to deploy my v basic solana program + costs 20c each time someone starts a crush pairing

I haven’t yet seen something on base that can’t exist anywhere else that I feel compelled to use every day

(aside from warpslot + amps, but I don’t think those can scale to “real pmf” as Dan might say without a serious growth initiative and farcaster growing DAUs by 100x)

my point is: 

the chain doesn’t matter and the fact people have strong opinions on this indicates that we are very far removed from what it means to make a crypto app that someone uses daily

Polymarket is on polygon: it’s the most important crypto app ever.

i just use Base as my default EVM, it’s great for that — you’re right that doesn’t give it PMF but it’s way easier to build the next killer app on Base than Solana
