WEB3 “EXPECTATION VS. REALITY
The Web3 Learning Curve.
Jumping into Web3 feels exciting.
1. The Basics feel easy.
You've likely heard about cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and wallets.
You set up MetaMask, maybe buy your first token. 🚀 Then you think you have started your journey, alas, you are just getting started.
2. Then it gets messy.
Suddenly, you need to understand private keys, gas fees, bridges, and seed phrases.
One wrong click and you lose funds — forever. 😬 oooh this part is the scariest.
3. The rabbit hole opens.
DAOs, DeFi protocols, staking, liquidity pools, zk-rollups. The terms keep coming, you learn the meaning of one, and the next day, you are back looking dull because you don’t know the next thing.
Everyone speaks in acronyms and memes. You start seeing things like NGMI, WGMI, FR, IRL, etc.
Our Best bet is to start small. Play around. Ask dumb questions. Nobody gets it all at once — and that’s okay.
