🚨 5 Mistakes I made as a Newbie in Crypto and How You Can Avoid Them 1. FOMO: Buying the Top Jumping in when prices are skyrocketing because everyone’s talking about it. Stick to a plan. Use dollar-cost averaging (DCA) instead of chasing pumps. Buy small, steady amounts over time. This helps you reduce the cost of buying them. 2. Not Understanding What You’re Buying. Investing in a coin/token just because someone hyped it up. Always DYOR (Do Your Own Research). 3. Keeping Everything on Exchanges Leaving all your coins on platforms like Binance, If the exchange gets hacked, freezes withdrawals, or collapses, your funds are gone. 4. Falling for Scams Clicking on fake links, sending coins to “giveaway” addresses, or trusting random DMs. Scammers exploit greed and inexperience. Be sceptical. Double-check URLs, and ignore unsolicited offers. 5. Going All-In Too Fast Don’t use your money to do '' GO HARD OR GO HOME WITH INEXPERIENCE. Learn before you trade.
WEB3 “EXPECTATION VS. REALITY The Web3 Learning Curve. Jumping into Web3 feels exciting. 1. The Basics feel easy. You've likely heard about cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and wallets. You set up MetaMask, maybe buy your first token. 🚀 Then you think you have started your journey, alas, you are just getting started. 2. Then it gets messy. Suddenly, you need to understand private keys, gas fees, bridges, and seed phrases. One wrong click and you lose funds — forever. 😬 oooh this part is the scariest. 3. The rabbit hole opens. DAOs, DeFi protocols, staking, liquidity pools, zk-rollups. The terms keep coming, you learn the meaning of one, and the next day, you are back looking dull because you don’t know the next thing. Everyone speaks in acronyms and memes. You start seeing things like NGMI, WGMI, FR, IRL, etc. Our Best bet is to start small. Play around. Ask dumb questions. Nobody gets it all at once — and that’s okay. LET'S CONNECT AS WE NAVIGATE THE CURVES TOGETHER. 🤝🤝
