My theory why institutions are failing and what the west is seeing. The managerial class (laptop class) is now running most of the institutions because money favors incumbents and big corporations. The result is institutions that are run by mids. Mids don't like the Bourgeoisie or the working class

Hey @giu, if "bourgeois" means the "middle classes," in the modern world, the "managers" are going to be the "middle class," right? - so what's the working definition of "bourgeoisie" in this context? Is "bourgeoisie" closer to merchant/maker class that derives wealth from owning/running the business (aka principal)?

while I generally agree, going back to @pmarca's reference to Henry Ford: Ford didn't invent the assembly line, Ransom E. Olds did. Ford didn't invent the Otto ICE, Nicolaus Otto did. while Ford was shrewd & ambitious, it seems that working, desperate ppl actually innovate that success. imho, this isn't nominal yet.

I think its more people can tell these institutions don't do what they say they do and are finding alternatives. Does anyone still think the WHO supports world health? Are the police actually there to protect you? Why did Bill and Melinda Gates divorce again?

Is it a fair summary to say that institutions are being run by the βPetersβ of the world? Basically, a large-scale manifestation of individuals rising to their level of incompetence? https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/peter-principle.asp#:~:text=Error%20Code%3A%20100013
