Self-driving cars will be in every city in the U.S. soon. What are going to be the 2nd order effects? Will cities design change? Will there be more traffic? Will people buy less cars?

my guess is that fsd is much larger than what we see on this chart. cities will not change quickly as still mostly non self drive cars being manufactured + sold. will be less traffic over time as self drive cars help mitigate accidents + traffic. people will likely not buy fewer cars in the near term.

People suck at driving so it should speed traffic up IMO

(a) taxi’s will become vintage for those that wanna be cool, flex, or pay cash only. (b) Uber/Lyft people will adopt crypto payments to remain competitive (especially with stablecoins in the rise). (c) busses are next, public transportation will evolve, and LA will become driveable.
