I work in a large aerospace factory. Fun fact: there is not a single white person working in production, out of 600+ employees. Factory labor is exclusively immigrant labor, because Americans simply do not have the skills.

I think it's naive to think we wont just automate as much as possible and have minimal humans at any future US manufacturing/whatever plant. It'll be just repair dudes and management. I have seen much of this already in my work. US labor is too expensive.
