I agree its hard to visualize because it'd basically be the authoritarian Marxist depiction the most hardcore MAGA folks think they're seeing when they look at democrats.
As for the the verbal threats, all it takes is a mentally deranged general like Michael Flynn willing to follow orders. There are many stories of officials needing to talk Trump out of insanely unconstitutional violent ideas during his first term.
