Its very interesting how large factions of both optimists and skeptics continue to believe AI is "just a tool" and can't/won't replace us. Its literally making advanced discoveries.

AI is now routinely used to locate exoplanets. In theory AI could control the telescopes, observe stars and find planets never known about before. To many this is evidence AI can make scientific advances and is “discovering NEW knowledge.”

People don't realise that cost/intelligence is about to become irrelevant. 2 types of AI users, those that are victim to it and algorithms that utilise it, doom scrolling etc, & those that are building, experimenting and enhancing their work flow.
