In India, they’ve begun to ask for your number when you go to a store. They say it’s for billing purposes. I always turn them down. It’s the gradual normalisation of surveillance. 

These companies will collect this data and sell it en-masse to marketers. Not cool. I can now see the argument for crypto.

Tbh I've just blocked strangers from calling me now, I receive only those calls who are my contacts.
