Most projects (and retail) still haven’t figured out token utility. There are some exceptions. Shoutout @bracky, @noiceapp, and a few others. I’m talking about projects that never tested their thesis but still launch a token because it “makes sense” or “should work in theory.” @bracky used $DEGEN to test how a token might work in their system. Once they had real insight, they launched their own. @ponder is still using USDC and things are going great. Founders often feel pressured to launch a token because of FOMO. It’s usually the blind leading the blind. “Oh well they did it so I should do it.” What’s the token for? Usually the answer is liquidity. But who’s it for? Is it just to raise money for the team, or is it built to drive real interaction with the app?
