I have a super unpopular opinion to share... I just don't think GenAI is going to have that big of an impact. I don't think it's going to be able to get precise enough to be useful in a lot of business applications, and I'm not sure the cost savings for business applications that don't require precision outweigh the training costs of LLMs. To get more precise they have to train with more data but training with more data is more expensive (in compute, but also licensing, legal, regulations, etc) and I'm just not confident GenAI can get precise enough cheaply enough.
