What I’m thinking about… I believe that The New Evangelism (being able to lovingly and intelligently talk about Jesus) will come from a person’s ability to begin to understand… - Where mankind has come from and where it is (read The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self by Carl Trueman) - The contributions of the hard and soft sciences (the Sam Harris vs Jordan B Peterson debates on YouTube are a great example of this) - The importance of identity within the context of both the Old and New Covenants (read The Saving Life of Christ, and The Mystery of Godliness by Major W. Ian Thomas) “Sinners In the Hands of an Angry God” was published 7/8/1741. The modern church is barely doing any better - “Sinners in the Hands of a Loving God” is what I see as the overall general message. A revival will happen when the church can articulate: - The difference between sinner and saint - The usefulness of science in helping to illustrate the Truth instead of softly seceding to science as the truth

interestingly, it seems historically the quest to propagate religion has been somewhat aggressive through forced conversions and the the term "new evangelism" is somehow a foreign concept when the foundation for the beliefs began peaceful. Full circle, eh?
