something ive been obsessed with lately are these micro dramas / short form content. reelshort and a ton of these micro dramas that acquire users on tiktok are doing a tremendous amounts in revenue. if you annualize their jan 2025 numbers, reelshort did ~$375m in gross revenue !!!! most of these "production companies" are based in china. i think not along before a US-based entertainment company tries to do what quibi was not able to. would love to chat with any companies building here. specifically, working with creators, using micropayments on stablecoin rails. fwiw, i think it could be a super interesting @farcaster client.

Yes I have paid for drama box, itโ€™s kinda interesting on how they use meta ads they would drop an whole episode of series as an ad - once any one gets dwelled in to it eventually ends up buying the subscription because the climax is pending, itโ€™s an unique subscription model - once you have done a normal purchase you can watch one series and then later need to buy coins to watch the rest of ones like a freemium model at max they have hooked the audience during the ad it self - smart move no wonders they are top on app stores
