it’s def more readable but it feels simplified to the point that landmarks are a lot more hidden and sometimes that’s easier to orient urself around on foot

haha why?  it feels easier for tourists or people new to NYC

Well it won't be an option anymore, but that was the beauty of it: a way for people without the time or inclination to synthesize the information naturally. 

I care more about encouraging local street literacy than getting adventurous Midwesterners from the M&M Store to Little Italy and back 😂

People wanting to learn the city with repeated exposure should rely less and less on the subway maps :)

Easier for visitors, worse for people wanting to learn the city through repeated exposure. I'll miss the old one but I'm sure I'll get used to the new one over time.

The biggest thing they need to fix is on the platforms making it easer to understand what direction the trains are going lol

I know there’s a name for the style and I don’t mind it, graphic wise. Is it easier to read? Dunno.
