Feels like the pace of change has been exponentially increasing all year. This is certainly due in part to the tech, AI and crypto circles that I spend most of my time in but it also feels more true in other aspects of life and business too. At least anecdotally. Yet, I also hear more and more people in their 30s who want to be more focused on something in the physical world whether it’s a product, community or place. Life online has continued to change faster and faster while life in the real world doesn’t change nearly as fast. Interesting paradox. I think we’re entering an era where the physical world might start to change faster too which I think is a really exciting development that allows people to dream bigger and get more fulfillment by seeing their effort translate into the physical world. Lots to pay attention to. Being insatiably curious has a cost and I’m finding that cost is often focus and depth. Maybe it’s time to be 50ft deep across a few things rather than 10ft deep across dozens of things.
