Modern software tools are getting so good that if you can think of it yourself then you can probably build it yourself for the most part At least in MVP form to validate the concept or idea People who realize this and leverage it will win

I think this is huge, and true. The ability to do rapid prototyping yourself would make you dominate in any industry. Caveat, however, is that this is not a GTM strategy. This is a prototyping strategy. That's only one step, but since most ppl don't have access to it, they don't even realize all the work that has to go into something after it finally gets made to take it to market and succeed with it. The more accessible prototyping becomes, the more work we have at the funding and production layers to actually get this stuff ready for investment & distribution.

I’ve heard grumblings of another way to get insight before even doing an MVP. Just do an early signup. I do think it’s possible to leverage the hell out of the attention and get insight from possible customers before you even build. Also getting the signup out there is practice for distribution

Yep, that’s what I’ve been focusing on. Iterations that used to take thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars multiple weeks and multiple devs can now be achieved like you said in MVP form in a handful of days and for a fraction of the cost.
