My personal opinion on the 1155 vs 721 discussion for the @farcaster PRO NFT is that you should 100% go 721

Its the only way to cleanly allow any builder who wants to reward holders or give access to holders for anything they are building to be able to ensure that those rewards or access can only be claimed once.

It also allows the merkle team to create personalization across art or experiences

Farcaster Pro NFT should be 721s

- 721 is the true NFT standard 
- More flexibility to reward holders or allow third parties to reward holders bc its easier to create one-time claims against 721 vs 1155s
- Allows for more personalization which is more fun

1155 would be the classic midcurve move though

If the lower edition number is just a cosmetic trait that never informs any benefits from Merkle then it shouldn't matter 

But it could inform the way third parties reward or give access but I think that's unlikely tbh 

721s are more interoperable and composable which is a big reason to do it instead of 1155s

For the record, I don't have a strong opinion either way :)

But, what would your response to the counterpoint be that the notifications to join were staggered, so this puts people who (presumably randomly) got notified first to have a lower edition number?
