In Society of the Spectacles, RJ presents a collection of works centred on the symbol of the smart glasses. As an emerging technology that further extends and normalises our mediated observation of the physical world, they appear primarily in a series of 12 individual portraits as destabilising devices: violently flashing, hyperactive, and perpetually inspecting those who look upon them.
